The technical and socio-economic possibilities of massive hydrogen (H2) storage in porous media were explored at the hystories conference in Paris, France. The HYSTORIES (HYdrogen STORage In European Subsurface) project is funded by the European Union and led by Geostock. The conference displayed the results of 2 1/2 yr of research within the project.
INNIO to power Serbia’s first H2-fueled combined heat and power plant
INNIO announced that PAN-LEDI has selected a Jenbacher J420 engine for a 1-MWe combined heat and power project in Nova Pazova, Serbia. The Jenbacher CHP plant will be fueled with H2 produced by an electrolyzer which is powered by a solar photovoltaic plant near Cuprija.

Total active H2 projects have increased by nearly 100 month-over-month (March–April), according to Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure (GEI) database. With nearly 50% market share, Western Europe continues to account for most H2 projects under development, followed by the Asia-Pacific region (22%) and the U.S. (13%).
Hynion signs land agreement for H2 refueling station in Jönköping
Hynion Sweden was granted a grant of approximately $6 MM from the Swedish Energy Agency to build two more H2 refueling stations, one of which is in Jönköping. Now Hynion and Jönköping Municipality have signed a lease agreement for an area of land in the logistics area of Torsvik, south of Jönköping.
Enersense delivers modular structures to Q Power for synthetic methane, green H2 production plant
Enersense and Q Power have entered into a significant agreement on the delivery of steel structures for reactor modules for a methanation plant. The plant is being built in connection with a green H2 production plant.
